Documents and Personal Data

Scan Orbit is designed to process scanned documents locally on your device. In the current offline-first architecture, Veritan Group does not receive, view, or store the contents of your scanned documents on a Veritan Group cloud server.

Please remember that documents you scan may themselves contain personal, confidential, financial, medical, identity, or other sensitive information. You are responsible for choosing what you scan and where you export or share it.

Device Permissions

On-Device Storage and Data Loss

The current app architecture stores documents and related app records locally on the device using Android local storage, including a local Room database. There is currently no Veritan Group cloud backup or account-based sync service described for Scan Orbit.

If you uninstall the app, clear app data, reset or lose your device, or otherwise remove local data, documents that have not been exported or backed up by you may be permanently lost.

Analytics, Advertising and Third-Party Services

The product roadmap may use services such as Google Play Console, analytics, advertising, or subscription-management tools. If a released version of Scan Orbit enables a third-party service that collects device, usage, advertising, diagnostic, or purchase information, the applicable provider may process that information under its own terms and privacy policy.

This policy should be updated before enabling any new service that materially changes what information is collected or transmitted.

Retention and Deletion

Because the current document workflow is local, you control deletion of your local scans through the app and your device. Exported files may remain in locations you selected even after you delete an item inside Scan Orbit.

Children's Privacy

Scan Orbit is a general productivity utility and is not specifically directed to children. Do not use the app to collect or process another person's information unlawfully.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Scan Orbit features, third-party services, legal requirements, or data practices change. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated date.
